A sprinkling of snow.

Last weekend saw the first snowfall here on the coast. In the bright sunshine the lovely cover of clean whiteness transformed the muddy garden.

And made abandoned gardening implements like the old wheelbarrow much more interesting.
Obviously these things are left lying around specifically to look pretty as the fading light makes almost monochrome landscapes.

Chico found it so exciting that he had to chase his tail.

Down on the shoreline the dying sun rebelled
and painted the sky a deep apricot gold.

Before dropping below the horizon at Criffel's feet.

The days are getting noticeably longer and it's amazing how a few extra minutes of daylight lift the mood.
Ably assisted by the beauty of Nature, of course.

  2. Yes, the dark nights and mornings are a real drain. I know we shouldn't wish our lives away but roll on summer. Surely it must be better than last year? Fingers crossed!
